I plan to sit down very soon and create something, I just NEED to..lol! This is a quick little card I made over the summer. The flower I cased, I saw it on Monica's blog My many many passions and had a strong "need" to make one myself. Thank you for stopping by my blogger friends. :D

Back To School Apples For Miss Sullivan

It's been crazy at our house getting ready for back to school. I really wanted to make a small gift for my son's teacher but it had to be a quick project. So I put this card and basket together it took about 15 minutes total. I filled the basket with my favorite Ghiradelli caramel filled chocolates. I hope she likes them too. I'm very excited for Andrew, his teacher Miss Sullivan is super sweet and this is her first year teaching. This is the first time any of my children get a "newbie" teacher and I'm really curious to see what her teaching style will be like. She just seems so fresh and full of so many great ideas. :)

Later Gator

Okay, so I'm probably going to get some harassment from some of my friends about this. I don't normally buy clear stamps I usually am very anti clear stamps. But, I do have to admit that clear stamps have come a long way. I am finding that there are more high quality clear acrylic stamps nowadays. This cute Close To My Heart set being one of them it's called Life's A Jungle. The images from this set are adorable and so are the sentiments. I ordered quite a bit of some REALLY cute CTMH stamps that I just could not resist. I'll probably slip this card into Andy's lunchbox on the first day of school. It kind of has a back to school look. Oh and these papers are GORGEOUS!!!! They are more of the papers I got through a paper share.....yeap I need to order the whole pack now.

Stamps: CTMH Life's A Jungle
Papers: The Write Stuff Specialty Papers (Stampin' Up), Always Artichoke CS, Watercolor Paper

China Doll

Here's is the sketch that I used for this card: Sketch Challenge. I was inspired by Heather P. to flip the sketch, here is her lovely blog: {Witty Title Here} . This card was so much fun to make because I love watercoloring and I love these images from Hero Arts. I chose to put the main image on a really simple layout because I really wanted my little China Doll to just pop. Oh and did I mention how much I like these Razzleberry Lemonade papers? I got them in a paper share so I got just a small sampling of them. I will definelty need to order more soon.

A Sweet Bird Card And A Lot Of Chit Chat

Okay so I love these birds too. Since I'm a preschool teacher I always end up buying cutesy stamps.

The other day when my kids and I were heading out of our community we saw a mama duck and several of her ducklings waddling behind her. We actually had to stop in the middle of the street so they could cross. It was the cutest thing! The community we live has a lake (manmade) and there are always ducks everywhere. Our neighbors come out to feed them so they always wander around the area "begging" for food. So I made this little card with that day in mind thinking of the cute little duck family and that they looked so "Happy Together".

A few days after we saw the ducks we were driving buy the woods near our home. The kids and I saw the most amazing thing! We saw a mother bobcat and her 2 baby cubs. I had to stop the car so that we could look at them but they quickly ran off. They were amazing and so beautiful!

We kind of live in the country out here it's still heavily wooded around our community. Really not much has been built out here as far as stores, buildings, etc. Which is why we ultimately purchased in this community. We've even been lucky enough to have seen deer out here. They are such beautiful animals! We usually see them early in the morning. Whenever we see them we roll the windows down and stare at them in awe. It amazes me how they are not afraid they stare at us too and their heads turn to watch us as we drive away.

I really love where we live but one day I'd like to move further outside of a community and live on a big piece of land. Wishful thinking at this moment...but hey a girl can dream, right?

Kanga Love

I am absolutely in love with this sweet kangaroo and her baby! My coloring was a little on the light side and I was not super pleased with it but I decided to share this card anyway. I'll have to watercolor the kangas a little darker next time I decide to ink this set up. Oh and these papers are SO much fun. I'll have to order some more soon because I can see myself using up all the papers pretty quickly. The adhesive die cuts (stickers) that come with this Simply Scrappin' Kit are adorable too. I just don't ever know what do with stickers though. I'll have to be on the lookout and see what cute ideas my fellow crafters come up with. Those die cuts are just too cute to not use. Happy stamping!

I got to play with some more new stampin' goodies. The layout is from the mojomonday.blogspot (MOJO93). This is the first time I tried a layout challenge. Chic Bird

I recently ordered some stuff from a friend of mine that was going to lose her demo status. She's always there for me so I was more than happy to help her out. There are so many great things in the new catty so it was easy for me to pick stuff out.

When I saw the Elegant Bouquet upside down it reminded me of tree branches so I decided to make the little birdcage look as if it was hanging off the branch. I popped the birdcage up (as you can tell because of the annoying shadow).

Stampin' Success Case

I cased this card out of the July Stampin' Success. All I did was change the colors and papers. The scalloped square reminds me of the little doilies you see in antique stores. I'm still working on not getting so many shadows in my pictures. If any one has any tips please feel free to share your advice with me. I'm considering getting a new camera as well. I usually lean more to a Nikon camera but I've seen some really great Canon cameras as well. I'd really like at least a 12 mega pixel camera. I'd love to hear which kind of cameras you have and love using.

Andrew's Card To Daddy

This is the card that my 8 year old son made for his Dad. He worked so hard on it and came up with and created the entire card on his own. He looked so sweet working on his dad's card. It's hard to see but it says "Stuck On You Dad" he stamped stuck on you and wrote in Dad. The card is a little beat up because he hid it underneath his mattress so his dad would not see it. My daughter is not into card making and opted to give dad a card that I made.

I really could not ask for a better husband and father for our children. He is an amazing man and is so good to us. There isn't anything he wouldn't do for me and the kids. He is doing an incredible job of helping me raise our kids. I can already see that because he is such a wonderful role model that Andrew is a lot like his dad...it makes me so proud!!! Lily is turning out to be an amazing young lady as well and both of our kids make us feel incredibly proud to be their parents. My husband's love for us is amazing and everyday I thank God for sending him to me. I never take it for granted that I am blessed.

Stamps: Choo Choo, Moose You, Right On Track Wheel

Fifth Avenue Meets Bermuda & Razzleberry

I really wanted to make a card that combined the two new Stampin' Up In colors: Bermuda Bay & Rich Razzleberry. I thought the two colors would be a great combo. I have to say that I really like these two colors they just make me happy. I stamped the Fifth Avenue flower on watercolor paper and it took a very long time to watercolor. But I love to watercolor I find that it relaxes me and is kind of therapeutic. In fact whenever I buy new stamping stuff my excuse to my husband is that it is cheaper to stamp than to see a shrink. Stamping is very effective therapy for me and a stress reliever...I'm sure some of you can relate. :D

Mostly Stampin' Up Materials:

Stamps: Fifth Avenue Floral, Oval All
Papers: Watercolor, Going Gray, Basic Gray
Inks: Bermuda Bay, Rich Razzleberry, Basic Gray
Accessories: Small Oval Punch, Scallop Oval Punch, Pop Dots, Crystal Stickles (Ranger)

I even love the name of the color. Now if I could only figure out how to not get shadows in my pictures...notice the shadow from the ribbon. I cased this great layout from one of Linda Mcclain's cards you can check out her beautiful blog here: LMac's Catered Crops

For A One Of A Kind Teacher

I made this card for Andy's second grade teacher Mrs. Wagner. I slipped a Target gift card into this card and he gave it to her on the last day of school. We truly have been very lucky so far in preschool and elementary all of his teachers have been the BEST. The end of the school year has always been difficult for us because it always involves leaving a wonderful teacher behind. Mrs. Wagner is an amazing person and we were so blessed that she was Andy's teacher this past school year. He told us as he was getting into the car after the last day of school that he was going to miss her SO much. He is my sentimental kid and it just touched me when he told me because I could tell he was trying so hard to fight back tears. This only confirmed for me what I already knew, that she is an amazing teacher and person. She just gives so much of herself to those kids and truly loves them like her own. I always felt so comfortable sending Andy to her everyday I knew he was in good hands. She makes her students feel like they are in their second home in her class. I even get a little choked up just typing this (he gets the sentimental side from me). It takes a very special teacher to touch your heart like this....Mrs. Wagner is One Of A Kind!!!

To all you teachers out there that care so much and make a difference in our child's lives....please know that you are loved and very much appreciated. God bless you for all you do! ~Hugs~

Thoughts Of Mom {And Dad}

This is the card that I made to give my mom for Mother's Day. My mom is not into crafty things at all but she absolutely loved and appreciated this card. I get my need to create things from my dad. Dad does woodworking and is an amazing welder. He creates awesome things made of iron and or wood. When I was a kid Dad was always out in his workshop making something. Even now when we visit he is always working on one project or another. Mom's hobby and favorite pastime is cleaning and keeping a spotless home. I certainly didn't acquire any of that passion from her.....he he he. I like living in a clean home but I really detest housework!

Mother's Tea Party Invites

Here are the invites I made for the moms of my preschool students. We are having a Tea Party for all the moms next Friday. Each invite has a tea bag on the inside of the card with the party information attached to the inside of the invite. I really enjoy preparing for our annual Mother's Tea at our preschool. The kids are always so excited to make presents for their moms. We also have each child draw a picture of their moms and we help them fill out a page about them. It is so funny to hear what they say about their moms. One year when I asked a little boy in my class what his mother enjoyed doing his answers was "yell a lot.....that's for sure"! My co-teacher and I still crack up when we think back to his response.
