China Doll

Here's is the sketch that I used for this card: Sketch Challenge. I was inspired by Heather P. to flip the sketch, here is her lovely blog: {Witty Title Here} . This card was so much fun to make because I love watercoloring and I love these images from Hero Arts. I chose to put the main image on a really simple layout because I really wanted my little China Doll to just pop. Oh and did I mention how much I like these Razzleberry Lemonade papers? I got them in a paper share so I got just a small sampling of them. I will definelty need to order more soon.

A Sweet Bird Card And A Lot Of Chit Chat

Okay so I love these birds too. Since I'm a preschool teacher I always end up buying cutesy stamps.

The other day when my kids and I were heading out of our community we saw a mama duck and several of her ducklings waddling behind her. We actually had to stop in the middle of the street so they could cross. It was the cutest thing! The community we live has a lake (manmade) and there are always ducks everywhere. Our neighbors come out to feed them so they always wander around the area "begging" for food. So I made this little card with that day in mind thinking of the cute little duck family and that they looked so "Happy Together".

A few days after we saw the ducks we were driving buy the woods near our home. The kids and I saw the most amazing thing! We saw a mother bobcat and her 2 baby cubs. I had to stop the car so that we could look at them but they quickly ran off. They were amazing and so beautiful!

We kind of live in the country out here it's still heavily wooded around our community. Really not much has been built out here as far as stores, buildings, etc. Which is why we ultimately purchased in this community. We've even been lucky enough to have seen deer out here. They are such beautiful animals! We usually see them early in the morning. Whenever we see them we roll the windows down and stare at them in awe. It amazes me how they are not afraid they stare at us too and their heads turn to watch us as we drive away.

I really love where we live but one day I'd like to move further outside of a community and live on a big piece of land. Wishful thinking at this moment...but hey a girl can dream, right?

Kanga Love

I am absolutely in love with this sweet kangaroo and her baby! My coloring was a little on the light side and I was not super pleased with it but I decided to share this card anyway. I'll have to watercolor the kangas a little darker next time I decide to ink this set up. Oh and these papers are SO much fun. I'll have to order some more soon because I can see myself using up all the papers pretty quickly. The adhesive die cuts (stickers) that come with this Simply Scrappin' Kit are adorable too. I just don't ever know what do with stickers though. I'll have to be on the lookout and see what cute ideas my fellow crafters come up with. Those die cuts are just too cute to not use. Happy stamping!

I got to play with some more new stampin' goodies. The layout is from the mojomonday.blogspot (MOJO93). This is the first time I tried a layout challenge. I always find it difficult to come up with a layout of my own. I feel like after a while all my cards look the same. So I may be trying more of these layout challenges. Happy stamping!

Chic Bird

I recently ordered some stuff from a friend of mine that was going to lose her demo status. She's always there for me so I was more than happy to help her out. There are so many great things in the new catty so it was easy for me to pick stuff out.

When I saw the Elegant Bouquet upside down it reminded me of tree branches so I decided to make the little birdcage look as if it was hanging off the branch. I popped the birdcage up (as you can tell because of the annoying shadow).
